LPPalScore 103 update and LPMultiScore v102 update

The LPPalScore has been updated to v103. Some people were having trouble running the scorer with pal 9.9. This update should address that issue for those who were having the problem. If you were not having any problems with the LPPalScore v102 version then there is no need for you to download this update.

For those that are having problems, go to Settings and check the appropriate box for 9.9

The LPMultiScore has also been updated for pal 9.9

All of my software will work for everyone regardless of operating system or pal version. If you cant get it to work then just leave a post in the help forum and Ill help you get it going.

LPPalScore 102 update

The LPPalScore has been updated to v102. It is compatible with pal 9.9. However, you do not have to update to pal 9.9 to use the updated scorer.... it works with pal9.8 and lower also.

The LPMessEdit has also been updated for pal 9.9

In the coming days, all my pal software will be updated to be compatible with pal9.9... patience. Real world always wins out over programming.. but all will be updated soon.

Thank you and Win7 annoyance

I really appreciate all the well wishes and donations I received recently. Feels good to know that all the hours I put into my software are appreciated. Thank You.

With the release of Windows 7, comes a few problems for some of my scoring programs. For years, I had always stored my software's settings files in the windows folder Program Files. Vista frowned on storing my settings there, but allowed it. Windows 7 however, strictly forbids it unless you are the administrator of your computer.. yet, the majority of computer users do not log on to their machine as the administrator, or even know how. Its easy to make the software work, but if I used Win7 I would find it annoying.

Ill soon release versions of all my software that will make this extra step unnecessary. Until then, you can view this thread to see how to allow your scorer to work on windows 7. If you have questions or need more help, just leave a post in this thread.

Like I stated above, I don't currently run a Windows 7 machine and would very much like to hear from windows7 users who use my software. You can contact me via the forum or @email.

In February of 2010, LoonYProgS.com hosting will expire. For the past 8+ years, I have absorbed the costs of hosting, domain registration, as well as the cost of the tools used to bring you my software.

In those 8+ years, Ive not received any donations and very few have even took the time to say thank you... or even give any feedback... And with a total download number of over 1000, that's pretty disheartening.

Having said that, if I don't receive enough donations to at least cover my hosting costs, Ill not be renewing my hosting in February. So, if you want to see continued updates as well as new software from LoonYProgS, donate via the button atop this and every page, or, contact me directly via email.

On a much lighter note... Ive added a new group to the Trivia Groups list. Twisted Trivia Asylum plays in paltalk, and they have a nice looking site. When I went in to play, the @admins were cordial and the games a lot of fun. So, check them out.

Important Notice

Last night, an old friend advised me that the anti-virus program Avast was flagging my software as infected. Clearly, a false positive. After doing some research, it turns out that after a recent Avast update, it caused thousands of software titles to be flagged.

Since last night, I have spoke with an Avast representative, and he assured me that the problem has now been resolved. They have also released this apology of sorts for their error.
They have also issued a guide to restore the files that were mistakenly flagged

I'm sure long time users of LoonYProgS software realized this was a false positive. But new or not so familiar users may not.
I want to assure everyone, that I write and release only clean, optimized, user friendly software. Bottom line.

If you use avast and were affected by their recent update and cannot get your LoonYProgS scorers to work, Then let me know.

New program - LPMessEdit

I'm currently developing a small program to aid room admins.
Its called LPMessEdit (LPME) and allows a room @admin to quickly and easily edit the rooms banner message.

Someone sent me a message, wondering why I didnt post any news items for the month of February 09. Well, the only real news I can think of was that it was very cold. That is all. :P
